REALITY According to a new UN report, scientists predict that the world has less than 10 years to stop global warming, or climate change will cause permanent and accelerated ecological catastrophes, as well as large scale human and economic setbacks. The fate of the planet hinges on whether or not we choose to take ACTION. Without real ACTION Global Warming may be irreversible. MISSION Earth Calls Help is a non-profit environmental organization whose mission is to undertake projects designed to contribute to the ultimate goal of saving mother earth and the human species by restoring balance, healing and vitality to the environment, as well as to fight global warming and climate change. PROJECT SUMMARY We are working on a pioneering project that has to do with cleaning the air in Metro Manila using a technology created by a geologist/monk, Phra Ajarn Ratana Ratanayanoo, Director/Abbot of Suan Buranarakdham Center in Northern Thailand, which we have in trust for the purpose of conducting tests that will prove its efficiency. Primarily it works like an ionizer emitting negatively-charged ions and moisture throughout the environment. This device, which cleans an area covering a radius of 5km all around, is believed to have the capacity to rid the environment of toxic fumes and dust particulates. It subsequently creates a hole in the atmosphere thus allowing the fumes along with trapped heat to escape. This means it has great potential to alleviate the effects of global warming. Since March 2007 we have been testing the technology and have gathered some data from monitoring the air quality with the help of University of the Philippines Natural Sciences Research Institute (UPNSRI) and the Environmental Management Bureau of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (EMB-DENR). The results have been very promising. We have data showing a significant increase toxic substances collected in the water filter. Likewise, the air quality test results showed that the concentration of suspended particulate matter in the atmosphere decreased substantially within less than 48 hours. (All test results are posted on this site). Earth Calls Help collaborated with the local city government of Makati to help with their “Project Hangin”; an effort that aims to monitor air quality, determine how pollution is affecting public health and integrate a solution to clean the air, which is where we come in. Furthermore, we aim to replicate similar projects in at least three other cities selected on the basis of their location and level of pollution aimed to be accomplished within a period of 9-12 months. So far we know that the technology shows incredible potential however, we still need to gather additional scientific data to make it conclusive. To achieve this, we need to make a move to apply for the Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) program, a protocol institutionalized by the DENR-Environment Management Bureau and the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) that will help us verify the effectiveness of this technology through extensive testing on various platforms. To date, the entire project has been funded by the founders’ personal resources. Although since July 2008 the project was forced into recess due to lack of funding. Aside from the need to replace our only 2 water pumps that have broken down, the much needed ETV tests that will provide us with conclusive data are still pending. Given the scope of the project as stated above, we are in dire need of some funding support to be able to meet expenses. The amount needed is not much, ranging from a minimum of USD 6-10k. Sustainability will immediately follow once we secure our pending validation from the DOST. The Project is open to receiving much needed donations to help us in this urgent mission. This site is dedicated to those who wish to share in our mission . . .to RESTORE THE BALANCE AND VITALITY OF THE ENVIRONMENT, STOP GLOBAL WARMING and SAVE not only Mother Earth but the Human Species.
